Are you new to the Swissvax range? Looking to buy something but not sure where to start? Let us help you...
For over 3 generations, the Anwander family has been making Swissvax waxes originally only produced for the private use of Hans Anwander, grandfather and founder of the company. History
Although famous for its waxes, Swissvax is a comprehensive car care system consisting of integrated washing, cleaning and nourishing products. Our unique products do not have to meet sales targets or a production budget, which is what makes them what they are today - top quality care products.
Unlike ordinary polishes Swissvax waxes do not contain any abrasives and can be used on all types of paintwork, including old nitro lacquers, modern water based paint systems and so called nanopaints.
It is important to understand that the "Swissvax Way" is a systematic approach consisting of two basic components: a cleaning wax oil (Cleaner Fluid) and a wax. The waxes are easy and pleasant to apply. No white residue is left and the waxes do not build up along seams or in crevices.
Carnauba is the world's hardest, purest, most transparent and also most expensive natural wax. It is harvested for the upper side of leaves of the "Copernicia prunifera", a fan palm native to Northern Brazil, and is graded according to colour and clarity. The highest quality is classified as rare grade one carnauba and is used in our Swissvax waxes. The level of shine increases with the percentage of carnauba used in the wax formulation. While conventional car waxes have a carnuaba content of between 3-5%, Swissvax formulations contain between 30-76% by volume (one of the highest concentrations available on the market).
Unlike ordinary "polish" which simply polishes a paint surface shiny while the lower layers of paint get dryer and "starve", the Swissvax carnauba formulations, enriched with passion fruit, orange, avocado and vanila oils, restore the deep shine to the paintwork, resulting in an intense unique "wet look". valuable oils of the original paint finish. These essential oils, such as cinnamon, avocado and vanilla, used as carriers for the wax, give these products their wonderful aromas and create a swirl-free gloss. In fact it is this exclusive formula which creates a glow that goes beyond normal perceptions of "shiny".
So... what should you buy?
There is a product available in the range for every aspect of automotive care - paintwork, wheels, leather, plastic... the list is endless. However the fundamental basis of the Swissvax system is the Cleaner Fluid pre-wax oil and a wax of your choice. Which wax depends on your budget. As we said, the more carnuaba in the wax, the shinier the finish and the more protection to the wax with one coat. The other benefit is in terms of longetivity. One single Swissvax wax application lasts from 8 weeks up to a year (depending on the choice of wax and the use of the vehicle). Again, as a general rule, the more carnauba - the longer each coat will last.
If you have a limited budget, we would caution against you simply spending the whole of this budget on one wax and ignoring the need for the Cleaner Fluid. The importance of the pre-wax stage cannot be under estimated. This paintwork nourishing fluid with excellent deep cleansing characteristics leaves behind a perfectly clean, smooth and uniform paintwork surface enabling the wax to bound correctly.
Cleaner Fluid can be bought in a number of kits - for those getting started we would recommend the Starter Kit and the Entry Kit. To each of these products you can would need to add a wax of your choice to complete your purchase. The Entry kit contains products sufficient to treat your car approx. 10 times.
