Swissvax is a comprehensive car care system consisting of integrated washing, cleaning and nourishing products.
Like many unique products, our waxes were originally designed around the family kitchen table. The old Anwander chemist's shop in Zurich was both the laboratory and the production site for the first tins of "Antikwachs" - a wax formulation specially developed for antique furniture and lacquers.
Since producing those first tins of precious "Antikwachs", the Anwander family has devoted itself to paint, lacquers and waxes for over three generations. The natural waxes for cars were originally produced solely for the use of Hans Anwander, the grandfather and founder of the company. Over the years, the original formulations have been continually developed in response to customer needs, environmental requirements and technological changes.
Swissvax today is produced by Swissvax AG and its headquarters, office facilities, laboratories and the production facilities are located in Fällanden, about 10km’s east of the economical centre of Switzerland Zürich.
From the very early years to this day one superior principle has fundamentally lead all activities of the company: The strong and consistant will to manufacture the highest quality and best performing products in the marketplace satisfying likeminded enthusiasts with highly sophisticated requirements.
Currently, Swissvax AG re-invests 20% of its annual turnover into Research & Development and Marketing. In its Research & Development department not only are new innovative products engineered meeting rigorous standards and to comply with the requirements of the world’s best car manufacturers but also each existing product is continuously re-assessed and – if new ingredients, materials or technologies offer potential for improvement – is continuously refined.
Despite this, Swissvax products are still blended and each pot filled exclusively by hand to this day. The high quality ingredients and complex formulas do not permit industrial production. The Swiss reputation for quality and precision in echoed in our products. They are not governed by needing to meet sales or production targets, which makes them what they are today - top quality car care products from perfectionists for perfectionists.
